Disney + has dropped its price to $1.99, but you have to act quickly ...

Disney has already had a great year of releases, from Lightyears heroics to Obi-Wan Kenobis lightsabers to She-Hulk: Attorney-at-Laws stress-free twerking, and fans are getting a sneak peek at everyone on the way as this year's D23 Expo prepares to host a Disney+ Day, people, and a huge discount. It will likely be the cheapest month of streaming out there, at only $1.99.

Fans can get a new Disney+ subscription for just $1.99 by clicking here (opens in new tab) and signing up with the quickness. So this isnt the time to be a Gawrsh and dawdle like Goofy for days on end. Plus, you must be a subscriber to take advantage of the various Disney+ Day promotions (opens in new tab).

The first month of the deal works as a promo period for the $1.99 price point, and when that period is over, the price goes back up to the regular monthly cost of $7.99. (Or, if you're into combining things up for cheaper, Hulu and ESPN+ adds to the mix.)

There is a fairly substantial restriction in that current Disney+ subscribers may not opt in to the $1.99 monthly subscription. So anyone who has cut ties with a previous subscription would have no better opportunity than now to get back into streaming pleasure in anticipation of all the new movies that are coming out.

Lets take a look at some of the most exciting Disney+ Day experiences for new and existing subscribers.

  • Thor: Love and Thunder's streaming debut
  • Assembled: The Making of Thor: Love and Thunder
  • Obi-Wan Kenobi: A Jedi's Return premiere
  • Dancing with the Stars: The Pros' Most Memorable Dances premiere
  • Cars on the Road Season 1 premiere
  • New Simpsons Short "Welcome to the Club" premiere
  • Remembering premiere (with Brie Larson)
  • Growing Up Season 1 premiere
  • Tierra Incognita Season 1 premiere
  • Frozen and Frozen 2 Sing-Alongs debut
  • Pinocchio streaming debut
  • She-Hulk: Attorney at Law Episode 4

More importantly, Disney+ gave us a sneak peek at the upcoming prequel drama Andor while you're deciding whether or not to see Pinocchio.

So while this may not be the most expensive subscription discount in the world, it's still worth it. This is enough pennies to count. So be sure to get your spot early as Loki and Darth Vader might appear searching for you. However, do not expect them to appear together.
