The Halloween Horror Nights Houses at Universal Orlando, including Halloween and The Weeknd, are ran ...

Universal Orlando Resort is a great place to go during Halloween Horror Nights, which involves putting up some of your favorite horror scenes to life, as well as developing many equally terrifying new concepts. This year has promised to be terrifying and disgusting, but which house is truly the finest of the best?

10 Bugs: Eaten Alive

Sometimes the thing that intrigues you is that masked supernatural murderer, and sometimes the things that terrify you are a lot smaller. This is either the finest or the worst house at Universal Orlando, and if bugs are not bothering you, then this house will most likely legitimately freak you out in a way that might not be fun.

9.Fiesta De Chupacabras

Fiesta de Chupacabras invites guests to a Latin American village that does not fear the goat-eating creature. Instead, it invites you to adopt the beast. It's a great creature to build a house around, but there's little that makes it stand out from the rest.

8.The Horrors Of Blumhouse

The HHN entry from Blumhouse this year gives us two of them in one house. That means double the fun and only one line for Black Phone and Freaky. Both films are so new that you may not have seen them before. As a result, this one will not be as tough as a couple other houses here.

7.Descendants Of Destruction

When it comes to telling a haunted house that people know from the movies, you may have a little help in getting the message across. But when it comes to telling a story in an original house, everything must be rock solid to get the message across. This is where Descendants of Destructions shines, as you cross a subway tunnel after an apocalypse, and the deeper you go, the more horrible the remnants of humanity.

6.Spirits Of The Coven

Witches are a Halloween staple, and you need to have them somewhere during Halloween Horror Nights. The backdrop here is a 1920s speakeasy that is now used to lure in their victims. (Possibly next year). The production design quality is quite impressive on this one.

5.Hellblock Horror

Hellblock Horror isn't intended to be based on a particular movie that you've actually seen. Having said that, it's hard not to believe that John Carpenter wasn't a major influence here. The prison full of massive inmates feels like it was inspired by equal parts Assault on Precinct 13, Escape from New York, and Ghosts of Mars. This one is legitimately terrifying, and it looks as good as it scares.

4.Universal Monsters: Legends Collide

Dracula, The Wolfman, and The Wolfman have made many Halloween Horror Nights appearances over the years, but never before have we had the three of them together in one house. Who comes out on the top will vary from one night to the next, making this house worth checking out at least once.

3.Dead Mans Pier: Winters Wake

Dead Mans Pier: Winters Wake is the finest pure original Halloween Horror Nights house this year. Its a stunning winter landscape that is unlike anything else you'll see this year. The undead fishermen that are coming to meet you are some of the most fascinating new creatures to see. Its also a cold house in order for the winter aesthetic to work, giving you a welcome respite from the Orlando heat.

2.The Weeknd: After Hours Nightmare

The Weeknd: After Hours Nightmare was one of the most anticipated houses from the start, for no other reason than it was unexpected. The house, inspired by The Weeknd's lyrics, but taken in a distinct horror movie direction, is everything we could have hoped for. It's also the single scariest moment of this years event (prepare yourself for the bathroom).

The original Halloween house we've seen before at Halloween Horror Nights, but there's a reason that the house, and the film that inspired it, have stood the test of time. For any Halloween fan, you might find yourself smiling more than screaming. This year's Halloween house has a completely different ending that puts it above the rest.

Halloween Horror Nights this year are exceptional, and they only represent a fraction of what the event has to offer visitors, and you still have two months to do it.
