Daryl Dixon has suffered a lot of wounds, cuts, and bruising over the years on AMC's The Walking Dead, but actor Norman Reedus had a real-life catastrophe earlier this year. Reedus suffered a concussion on set while filming the final season of the series, and now the actor talks about that terrifying moment.

Reedus' spokesperson stated on the set that he would be resting for a few days. It pushed back the production of The Walking Dead, and while at the time it wasnt clear how serious it was, Reedus recently told EWabout it and how he was shocked by the incident:

It was a disaster. I've been hit in the face and the head a million times. I've gone through car windows, but that one rang my bell.

Norman Reedus has suffered an injury for the second time in a row, but this one certainly shook him more than the other. The experience has remained with him. Doctors performed all the tests they could to ensure that Reedus was okay, and the actor looked back at those moments.

I had a neurologist. I had all sorts of trouble. I failed the light test. I had a security guard in the driveway, just in case. I was holding onto the walls when I was walking through the rooms. It was a disaster.

Norman Reedus was already dealing with headaches and light sensitivity as a result of a metal eye socket. Fortunately, the actor recovered quickly to finish The Walking Dead. He's also not leaving the zombie apocalypse behind, with a highly anticipated Daryl Dixon spinoff on the way.

Reedus was back on track to finish filming The Walking Dead on the last day of his 12 years of service. He looked to be in excellent health, but now that he has shared more of his experiences, it's clear that it was not easy for him.

Norman Reedus has been busy over finishing his job on The Walking Dead in front of the camera (and hopefully ensuring he never gets knocked on the head again). The actor is currently filming new episodes of his travel show Ride with Norman Reedus, which even included Keanu Reeves. Hopefully, he will also be cautious with the upcoming Daryl spinoff, which has been a topic of discussion in recent months due to Melissa McBride's departure.
