League of Legends players are in for a spooky treat since some of the most ruthless champions on the Rift will receive new apparel to match the upcoming Halloween season.
Urgot, Draven, Trundle, Renata Glasc, Annie, and Nautilus will be the first champions to be included in the new horror movie-themed Fright Nights League skin line. Rather, they were added to the PBE during today's update, meaning they will be released in Patch 12.18.
While a brief overview of this years' preseason was revealed, the Goth skin line, which was earlier this year to be modernized, would be transformed into Fright Night. Interestingly, Nautilus was not initially teased to be a part of this set on the PBE.
When the League fan base first heard about the Goth skin, Riot reimagined it and placed an emphasis on horror. Annie is the only other champion who originally had a Goth skin and may join this new universe if it is revisited in the future.
Each of the Fright Night skins appears to be referencing Tim Burton, a filmmaker well-known for his impact on the horror genre. Some of his films include The Nightmare Before Christmas and Beetlejuice, which appear to have directly influenced Fright Night Urgot and Renata Glasc's designs.
Urgot and Trundle have received skins for the first time since 2020, when Trundle joined the Dragonslayer universe. In the same year, Urgot received a Pajama Guardian Cosplay skin to commemorate April Fools Day.
On September 21, this new skin is expected to be released alongside Patch 12.18, indicating the official start of the spooky celebrations in League. It is currently unclear whether or not Riot intends to revisit the Bewitching line.
