QTCinderella talked about what drives her to host Twitch events like ShitCamp and why she intends to continue doing it, and why, despite what some people may argue, it's not about the money.
QTCinderella conducted an interview on Episode 256 of TMG Studios, which was conducted before ShitCamp 2022, and she used the opportunity to refute those claims.
QTCinderella is often accused of, like, Oh, she just does these things for a cash grab.
Bitch, I haven't made a profit from any of my events thus far.
The first ShitCamp cost $70,000, which she paid herself and made only a small profit via merchandise. The second cost $170,000 and was covered by sponsors, but shell makes little money.
If money isn't a big motivator for QTs, what is?
The Twitch star said she comes from a strange place where I want to see people join forces, but no one else is doing it. In the streamer space, theres a huge lack of it. Like, people spending time together.
When Malena and Nmplol hosted ShitCon in 2021, QTCinderella realized that there was a vacuum that needed to be filled. She asked them if she could continue the trend, and they gave her their thanks.
When she hosted her first event, it brought her a lot of happiness. I just enjoy being around people, she said. As adults, you no longer have that luxury.
She understands that Twitch and YouTube streamers, especially the major names, need an incentive to go because their time is valuable. Streamers only show up if they benefit in some way, like getting content.
She had to strike the perfect balance between making it a fun time but also a worthwhile endeavor for the participants, and it appears to have been achieved with Shitcamp. Im forcing my friends to hang out with me, but it works!
QTCinderella will continue to do it for that reason.
