Longtime Wordle players usually have a good grasp on what the word of the day is or at least what to do to get it right at the end of the word. This makes it a little difficult to know what the answer is.
That is particularly true when the arrangement seems unusual or too common.
It seems like a more unusual pairing in the case of a double appearance by the letter S at the end of the answer. However, there is a certain pattern to words with that ending sequence, and knowing more about it may be the key to getting the answer right.
Check out the list and guide below if these were the two letters that went green today.
To try out Wordle, use five-letter words ending in SS.
You still have a lot of work to do, looking at the list above.
Pay attention to the letters youve used in previous suggestions; for all letters that came out gray, cross out all words containing any of them; for all letters that came out yellow, cross out all words where they appear in the same position that came out yellow.
Continue reading the rest of the alphabet, always trying three or five new letters at a time. Choose words from the list above, or five if you want to keep them.
J, N, X, and Z are the only letters on the list that are not there. They will deplete your time and effort, and you would waste your time and effort identifying them. L, R, and all of the vowels are more likely to appear than others, so you may choose them carefully.
You should have enough information to guess within a couple of guesses.
If you are still unsure and don't want to wait until Wordle resets at midnight local time, you can always look up the answer to today's puzzle (which we update around 12am CT).
