Jeremy Renner is well-known for playing Clint Barton, also known as Hawkeye, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, Hawkeye has never been regarded as the greatest Marvel superhero, as he has primarily served as a supporting player to the likes of Iron Man, Captain America, and other well-known Avengers.
Following a snowplow accident on January 1, Renner, 51, underwent surgery for blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries. Although it seemed like a touch and go for a while, he is finally on the mend, and he's been on social media to calm his concerns.
Renner posted a heartfelt message earlier this week, thanking his followers for their support, revealing that he was "too messed up to type," but grateful for all of the well-wishes. Since then, the "Hawkeye" star has also made enough progress to release a video message to his social media followers.
Following a snowplow accident, Jeremy Renner needs a shower.
Jeremy Renner posted his first social media video following his life-threatening accident on Thursday, January 5. He sits upright in bed wearing a shower cap, and receiving a head massage. In the accompanying caption, he stated that he was having a "amazing spa day" in the intensive care unit after having a "not-so-great" day beforehand. His mother and sister were also there to keep his spirits up.
Renner is still recovering from a 23-second episode, but he hasn't lost his humor. "Watch it out. That's the first shower in a week or so," he said.
The fact he's been active on social media since the accident implies that he's on the road to recovery.
