In All Will Be One, MTG players will have a tough time removing this legendary troll ...

Through Phyrexia: All Will Be One as Thrun, Breaker of Silence, a five-drop Mono-Green creature that is extremely difficult to remove from the battlefield, Thrun the troll is returning to Magic: The Gathering's standard format.

The legendary creature, Thrun, the Last Troll and the legendary shaman of the plane formerly known as Mirrodin, was first introduced in MTG through the Mirrodin Besieged set, and the shaman has expanded in stats. Thrun, Breaker of Silence is a five-drop Mono-Green creature with 5/5 stats and a healthy amount of protection.

Thrun, Breaker of Silence

  • Mana cost: 3GG
  • Type: Legendary Creature—Troll Shaman
  • Rarity: Rare
  • Stats: 5/5
  • Keyword: Trample
  • Passive: This spell can’t be countered
  • Ability: Thrun, Breaker of Silence can’t be the target of nongreen spells your opponents control or abilities from nongreen sources your opponents control.
  • Ability: As long as it’s your turn, Thrun has indestructible.

Thrun, Breaker of Silence, and other multicolor removal spells that have the color Green in them, can be removed from the battlefield in most instances, but they are quite difficult to remove because Thrun has protection against all MTG colors except Green, cannot be counteracted upon casting, and is indestructible when it is your turn.

Thrun, Breaker of Silence is a bomb in ONE Limited and will likely be used in other MTG formats as well. Five mana for a 5/5 creature with Trample that is difficult to remove stops most attacking creatures while pressuring opponents on your turn.

Thrun and Breaker of Silence can be tested during the ONE prerelease events that begin on February 3 or through the digital launch of Phyrexia: All Will Be One. On February 7, players can take part in the digital release of Phyrexia: All Will Be One.
