Deployable Cover is now top-tier in multiplayer thanks to a strange Modern Warfare 2 glitch ...

Players in Modern Warfare 2 have discovered a strange Deplayable Cover bug that may be exploited to make the Field Upgrade a meta choice in multiplayer matches.

Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer provides players with a broad array of equipment to use as they attempt to outsmart the opposing team, including dozens of weapons, powerful Killstreaks, and useful Perks.

Field Upgrades are one of the fewest underrated items at their disposal, whether it be an Ammo Box with extra rounds or a Trophy System that can destroy incoming explosives.

Field Upgrades aren't usually disruptive to gameplay in a significant way, but Modern Warfare 2 users have discovered a bug with the deployable cover that might keep it dominating multiplayer matches until it is fixed.

'OfficialSuperSai', a Reddit user, saw the bug in action during a Team Deathmatch match on Embassy. The enemy team had placed a deployable cover in front of a doorway, forcing the player to jump over it as they approached.

They were suddenly turned 180 degrees and faced the entirely opposite direction when they went to vault over the blockade. This made them extremely vulnerable, and they were quickly picked off before they had time to react.

As they rolled into the room with their back facing the enemy, the killcam demonstrated just how costly the glitch proved to be. With a Shotgun, they went into the room with their back facing the enemy, making it an easy kill.

Other players claim to have experienced the same bug and were killed as a result of the same thing.

Once players realize how useful it may be, the developers are yet to acknowledge whether this Deployable Cover issue is on their radar.

Use the Field Upgrade to deter doorways and chokepoints will make teams much tougher, allowing enemies to grab you easily as you get spun around. It might also wreak havoc on modes like Domination and Search and Destroy, allowing players to camp objectives with little risk of being hit.

Before it becomes too big a problem, we'll see a fix in the next Modern Warfare 2 update.
