As fans of the CoD shooter discover an interesting Easter Egg, Modern Warfare 2 has also contracted the Harry Potter and Hogwarts Legacy bug.
Modern Warfare 2 was one of the most anticipated releases in 2022, while the beginning of 2023 is already awaiting the release of Hogwarts Legacy, a fully-realized RPG set in the Harry Potter universe.
There is a lot to be excited about in Hogwarts Legacy's development. While Modern Warfare 2 is moving along nicely with the delayed Season 2 content expected to add a bunch of new modes, maps, and more to the game.
Both franchises have come together to reveal a unique little secret to Modern Warfare 2 players who notice a tribute to the Harry Potter series in the FPS game.
On the game's subreddit page, JarlOfRivia reminded Modern Warfare 2 players that "Nova has a Harry Potter tattoo."
Nova, who is a regular Operator of Modern Warfare 2, has the real name Nila Brown, and she has no secret about her love of the wizarding world.
Nova's arm is shown in a picture shared by JarlOfRivia's website, and you can quite clearly see the Death Hallows symbol on her left arm near the elbow at the back.
The Deathly Hallows is the final two books/films in the official Harry Potter line of media if you aren't familiar with the Harry Potter world.
This Easter Egg has certainly been the subject of next-to-no controversy, so it appears as if it has gone under the radar since the game's release, or it has been perhaps added without any players' knowledge.
Commenters speculated that the developers may have to remove the content if it violates copyright laws, just as the Museum map and Hotel Breenbergh flirted with.
One user clarified that the Deathly Hallows logo does not meet the requirement for copyright protection...After all, it's a circle inside a triangle...Meaning for the figure was given by JK, but that does not imply any rights to it.
The Easter Egg will remain in the game, but for the time being at least CoD and Hogwarts Legacy fans can agree on this inclusion.
