The tuning feature in Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 allows players to customize their attachments to specific abilities. Here's how to tune weapons in both Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2.
With Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, Call of Duty's create-a-class approach has evolved far beyond the Red Dot Sight or Silencer from Call of Duty 4, allowing players to individually tune the positives and negatives of each attachment.
The new Gunsmith feature can be an invaluable aid in constructing no-recoil laserbeams and highly mobile SMGs, so here's what you should know about weapon tuning in Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2, as well as how to tune the attachments.
In Warzone 2 and MW2, how do you unlock weapon tuning and tune weapons?
In Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2, you must reach max level with the weapon, then select the tuning feature above the attachment in the Gunsmith.
Once selected, you may modify one of the two sliders to improve one of its features at the cost of another. For example, you can increase a barrel's Recoil Stabilization at the cost of Aim Down Sight Speed.
In Warzone 2 and Modern 2, not every attachment can be tuned, so look for the tuning icon next to the attachments to see if it can be adjusted.
Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 weapon tuning suggestions
As it depends on your playstyle, there isn't a right way to tune each attachment, but there are a few suggestions you can use to enhance the tuning feature in Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2.
The tuning values aren't on a linear scale, so moving the slider all the way in one direction can cause the negatives to vastly outweigh the positives. This is where you should pay attention to the "radar graph."
Move the slider to the top of the graph to see how it affects the attachment's attributes; therefore, wait until you see a noticeable decrease. Move it back before the drop-off occurs, and then you've optimized your attachment tuning to get the most from the positives.
