Sentinels has joined the growing list of organizations that are releasing their Apex rosters ...

The top 10 of the 30 Apex Legends teams will compete in the ALGS North America Pro League's Split One Playoffs in February 2023. The bottom eight teams have been relegated to the Split Two Qualifiers, with Sentinels, one of the most dominant teams of 2021, dropping down after finishing the split in 23rd place.

Adam "senoxe" Lau, Nicholas "crust" Kell, Trenton "lou" Clements, and coach Will "TeQ" Starck were announced today on both their Twitter accounts, although there was no official response from Sentinels at the time of writing.

Sentinels signed with Apex in 2019, with senoxe joining Payne, zombs, and retzi as the fourth players on the roster in March and April of 2020, creating a strong bond between the two teams. Sentinels would perform well throughout the season, finishing sixth in the 2021 NA Autumn Circuit and sixth in the 2021 NA Championship.

Lou was signed as the Sentinels' third member, completing the roster after Retzi's championship victory. The team achieved immediate success together, winning first place in both the UMG Champions Invitational 2 and the 2021 Split One NA Pro League championships. Their participation earned them a spot in the following playoffs, finishing in fourth.

Sentinels finished seventh in the Split Two Pro League, one spot short of a guaranteed playoff appearance in Split Two's Stockholm LAN. With only two spots left in the Championship, they entered the Last Chance Qualifier alongside 39 other teams. FURIA and Elev8 Entertainment took first and second places, with Sentinels finishing fourth.

Sentinels finished one place off from safety in the 2022-2023 season, finishing the season in 23rd place as one of the eight teams to go down in the Split Two Qualifiers. Sentinels' defeat signified the organization's intention to start again with a completely different team.

Following G2 Esports, Team Liquid, and Cloud9's departure from the competitive scene, the Sentinels is the fourth North American organization to make major changes during Split One.

The ALGS 2023 Pro League Qualifiers for North America will last two days, on February 11 and 12, where eight teams will earn their chance to compete in the NA Pro League's Split Two. Sentinels is currently looking to start fresh with a new roster in the future, with no announcement of leaving the competitive scene.
