Justin Roiland has announced his resignation from the Squanch Games amid legal concerns ...

After being accused with domestic abuse, Justin Roiland, the co-creator of Rick and Morty and voice actor of both of the titular characters, has resigned from Squanch Games.

Squanch Games announced the resignation of Justin Roiland on January 16, 2023. The passionate team at Squanch will continue to improve High on Life while preserving and supporting high-quality games.

Roiland was charged with corporal injury and false imprisonment by menace, fraud, violence, or deceit in relation to an incident that occurred in 2020 between him and a woman he was dating at the time.

Justin is innocent, but we also have every expectation that this matter will be dismissed once the district attorney's office has completed its methodical investigation of the evidence.

Following the charges, Roiland has also been removed from Rick and Morty.

The Squanch franchise will continue to do business as usual. High On Life, their latest game, will be released in December 2022. Trover Saves the Universe was released in 2019, Dr. Splorchy Presents: Space Heroes in 2018, and Accounting in 2016.
