Kaiser explains why he is confident Europe will perform better in the face of the LEC split ...

The LEC underwent some form changes ahead of the 2023 season, and Team Vitality's Norman "Kaiser" Kaiser believes it will lift Europe's standard to new heights.

Kaiser expects the LEC to play more best-of-three and best-of-five series throughout the year.

Kaiser said in an interview with Blix.gg on January 24 that best-of-fives will be the real test. We'll see how well teams perform there, but I'm pretty confident that Europe will be better this way.

Kaiser noted that the best-of-one games that will take place at the beginning of the season will differ from the best-of-three games and best-of-five games later on in the season.

With this new format, European teams are expected to perform even more best-of-threes this year, particularly since there were no best-of-threes in last year's format. The number of best-of-fives will also rise, thanks to three season playoffs and season finals. Many European pros have complained about the small number of games played in Europe compared to Eastern regions, so these changes should level the playing field.

This Saturday, January 28, the LEC Winter Season for 2023 will resume.
