Dota 2 is primarily a team game in which both players excel until things go bad. This makes the game very competitive very quickly—the fun parts of the game are soon forgotten, and it transitions into a tryhard game where both sides compete for glory. In the professional game, that effect is even stronger.
The ongoing DPC Winter Tour has provided an unparalleled example of that competitiveness. The Western Europe and North American divisions provided fantastic memories to look back on, and now it appears that Eastern Europe is starting to heat up.
On January 24, Team HellRaisers faced off against former TI winners in Team Spirit in the Eastern Europe DPC 2023 tournament. As per the DPC procedure, competitors must have their cameras on at all times during every stage of the match, including the draft stage. There are several fascinating moments captured on camera.
Before game one began, the cameras of the official broadcast caught HellRaisers playing a chess game in the draft stage. Others can see the game unfolding while others watch in the background.
HellRaisers lost 0-2 to Team Spirit in the EEU divisional championship. Hopefully, the remainder of the games will go better for the team.
