Justin Roiland: Who is he?

In the early 2000s, the trio collaborated on sitcom House of Cosby, which followed a man's attempts to clone Bill Cosby. It didn't take long before lawyers intervened. Roiland appeared in eight episodes of The Sarah Silverman Program before settling into the world of Disney animated television.
Fish Hooks was a writer and voice, before moving on to Adventure Time, Gravity Falls, and Out There. In 2013, Rick and Morty was born. Based on a webisode from the mid-2000s called The Real Animated Adventures of Doc and Mharti, it sat as Roiland's passion project for a decade.
Adult Swim remained a household name until it was revived for six seasons, with Roiland's talents stretching to other voice roles and writing gigs across television. His greatest expansion was video games, with him cofounding Squanch Games in 2016.
Accounting, Trover Saves the Universe, and High on Life were released in 2022. His work on High on Life soon became overshadowed amid claims of sexual harassment, discrimmination, and wrongful termination. These allegations were resolved out of court.
What is the reason why is he so popular today?
Roiland was charged with domestic violence in January 2023, related to an alleged incident in January 2020. The creative is facing domestic battery and false imprisonment charges. Following this, there were outpourings of alleged direct messages from Roiland in which he makes sexually charged and repulsive remarks. More women came out detailing poor behavior, with a particular tendency of sexualizing minors.
Adult Swim announced that they had severred their links with Roiland in late January 2023. The network said Rick and Morty would continue to star without Roiland, though a seventh season is still in the works.
