The Bachelor has given out his first rose, which is already causing controversy. Greer Blitzer, a wonderful positive impression, has resurfaced on social media, revealing Blitzer's previous behavior in a savage manner. The 26-year-old medical sales rep was a teen herself, and with that, here's what we know so far about Season 27's First Impression Rose recipient.
Greer Blitzer: age, height, job, and hometown
Greer is a Southern girl and a native Texan, raised in Houston, who moved to the Big Apple after graduating from the University of Mississippi (“Ole Miss”) with her Bachelor of Business Administration degree. According to Us Magazine, Greer went from full-time student to full-time employee, and she currently works in the medical technology industry in sales.
Greer is looking for what he wants.
According to Greer's official Bachelor bio, "She is a hopeless romantic and is fond of forehead kisses." She is also "not afraid to speak her mind."
Other "fun facts" about her bio state include:
- loves to shop at flea markets.
- is never embarrassed.
- can tell a lot about someone by their sushi order.
Greer is enjoying "life to its fullest" in New York, but she is unfamiliar with Zach's current location in Austin. Blitzer revealed that her brother attended The University of Texas there as a child, as well as that she created a PowerPoint for her family explaining why they should move there because she wanted to move there so much. "I'm not saying this because you live there now."
Blitzer claims to be looking for a long-term love, partly because her own parents have been together since they were 25 when she married Zach, and both sets of grandparents have been together ever since. "When you mentioned that, it just hit home for me."
Greer's way of dealing with the consequences of defending blackface
Since it was discovered that another Houston adolescent made the same use of blackface for a Tupac Shakur costume on Halloween, Blitzen is currently trying to downplay the allegations of racism that have erupted. Blitzer apologized via her Instagram feed the day after the season premiere.
"I am deeply sorry for those I have hurt, especially those within the Black community, not because these screenshots have been released, but because I ever shared those harmful opinions." Time and age do not excuse my actions, but this is not my identity as we are today."
Il remains to see if she will remain Zach's frontrunner.
The Bachelor's current season airs Mondays on ABC at 8/7c.
