The creator of Percy Jackson teases some great scenes from the upcoming Disney Plus program ...

Rick Riordan, the writer of the Percy Jackson novels, has loved keeping his fans updated on Disney's live adaptation. From casting announcements to production updates, fans have been able to follow along, without any spoilers of course, and his latest update may put you on the edge of your seat in anticipation.

Percy Jackson will be followed on his journey to discover that he is not just a part of the previously unknown world filled with ancient Greek mythology, but also a demigod. He isn't just any demigod, either; his father is one of the big three, Poseidon and God of the Sea, putting him in danger in a whole new world.

The author has been involved with the production as an executive producer, which gives fans a sigh of relief when they read about the last live-action adaptation that Riordan had no control over. This time, though, he is making sure he is with it every step of the way — wouldn't you be the adapter of a whole world you created?

Riordan teased "some fantastic scenes" with actor and former WWE wrestler Adam "Edge" Copeland, who will play Ares, the God of War in the role of Ares. The scenes prompted Riordan to think of "cora" as his "Focal an lae" or more commonly known as "the word of the day."

Copeland's current and former roles lend themselves to the phrase "wrestler," which makes sense considering how much he enjoys both nostalgia and excitement. "As they used to say on the monster truck rally commercials of my youth," he said.

Riordan provided a humorous overview of what it's like to be on set, writing, and so on.

We're sure that followers would want to see it, and we'd like to see it delivered to us via Disney Plus, where the program will be presented in 2024, or online.
