Adult Swim is already working as Justin Roiland's perfect replacement for Rick and Morty ...

Justin Roiland, the writer and voice actor for Rick and Morty, was struck by an Adult Swim hammer yesterday. The writer and voice actor is facing a domestic violence trial later this year and has seen his reputation eroded.

Adult Swim has officially ended its association with Justin Roiland despite voicing both Rick and Morty and being a major contributor to the hit program.

Dan Harmon will serve as showrunner, and the voices of the two main characters will be reimagined. A popular choice is Yolo Crystal Fantasy and Smiling Friend's Michael Cusack, who did a complete Rick and Morty parody in Bushworld Adventures.

Despite all of this, Roiland did contribute something unique to the roles other than the voices. He frequently improvised dialogue and is accountable for the tone of the show and the style of the jokes. The future of those initiatives remains in question, although we anticipate things to become more concrete later this year when the domestic violence trial concludes.
