The MCU is now at a stage where it's treating fans to all kinds of returning characters we've never seen before, from Charlie Cox's Daredevil to Corey Stoll's Yellowjacket. Yet we're still waiting for the cast from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. to make a comeback in the post-Marvel Television era of the franchise.
The fan-favorite actress appears to be indicating that something might finally be happening, although in an unexpected manner. First of all, insider Charles Murphy of Murphy's Multiverse riled up AoS loyalists by bad-mouthing Bennet's acting on the smash-hit ABC series, claiming that the studio isn't returning her because she isn't of the "same calibre" as other MCU leaders.
This then caught the attention of Bennet herself, who utterly shrugged back at the unwarranted rudeness but also sneaking a hint about her potential Marvel future.
Bennet's comments that Murphy's "tweets aren't going to age well" are unreported on the MarvelStudios subreddit, and that's where it's located. And, yes, Bennet is working on a secret MCU project. Although no one condones the harsh comments Bennet faced in this instance, it's hard to disagree that this is a major win for both the fans, in getting a welcome surprise on her sleeves, and the actress herself, in venting her inner superhero.
