Infinity Ward's community blog post on Wednesday evening covered the various changes that would be made to Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 in Season 2. Many now cannot help but notice that the game will soon feel much like the original Warzone, leading players to become disillusioned.
In a recent blog post, Infinity Ward made some surprising remarks, noting that features such as different-sized backpacks and vests, the 2v2 Gulag format, and its present looting mechanics will be removed when the next season launches. In their place, gunners will find numerous returning elements from its predecessor, such as loot from bodies and boxes shooting out onto the floor, and cheaper loadouts.
Many gamers have taken to social media to compare the changes to the original title, which some believe are necessary: "Who requested a new game, we requested a new map." On the other hand, users like AMcNamara23 argued: "I don't understand why these players [are] clamoring about not having WZ1." On the other hand, Deranged1337 commented: "At this point, they should have just made Al Mazrah for Warzone 1."
Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 players are becoming disconnected and shadow-banned due to being too good.
The roar of differing opinions will certainly make the season's debut enjoyable, to say the least, and there is no word yet whether any of the removed features will be restored at a later date in Warzone 2.0. However, it is reported that the classic 40-player Resurgence game mode will also make its first appearance once Season 2 is released.
