Another Thursday means another This Week at Bungie (TWAB) post. While much of the news surrounding Season 20 rewards and the start-off for the year of Lightfall was released yesterday, we now have more information on what caused the huge Destiny 2 outage. Tuesday evening.

Fans of Destiny 2 are blaming Blue Engrams for the game's day-long outage.

Developers modified a powerful tool to extract Triumph data related to the Forsaken and Nessus destinations from the Forsaken section into an archival section. This process changes a player's state, one of the main datasets that tracks what they've done, when they've earned, and how they've re-created old data from before Beyond Light.

The loss of player data was rolled back by more than a year, and Triumphs, Titles, and other rewards earned in the intervening time vanished. The reversal of player data and downtime were intended to discover precisely what the error was and ensure that it never happens again.

Bungie is making all Season of the Seraph Deepsight (red border) weapons guaranteed for your first focus of the week at the Exo Frame, going back as far back as Season 16. This update also applies to every other Seasonal vendor.

After a gloomy first week, Iron Banner's reputation has been revoked on January 31, 2018. Iron Banner armor and emblems have also received a reputation increase, so it's likely that it'll be much easier to grind out Banner gear when the time comes.

Bungie has begun voting for the Festival of the Lost armor in the autumn of this year, with a focus on "creepy crawlies." Players can now vote on which insectile creature they want to dress as when the haunted season returns.
