Who may be verified on Discord?
Before we begin, verification isn't an attribute given to anyone who wants it. This would jeopardize the purpose of verification, which is to ensure that people are who they say they are within Discord communities. While being both the server owner and official representative, you'll need to be qualified as one of the following:
- Game developer or publisher
- Professional esports team member
- Spotify-verified artist
Content producers, such as those on Twitch and YouTube, may apply for a Discord partnership, which acts as a unique form of verification.
On Discord, how do I get verified?
Users will need to go to Discord's Verification page and click the 'Apply Now' button to apply for Discord verification.
As an overlay, this will open a new window within the page as a new window. Note the 'Next' button at the bottom of the form — this will take users to the second page, which will also need to be filled out.
Make sure you include as much information as you can, in order to speed up the application process. This includes the Server you're trying to verify, your website, and your entity name.
Once everything has been submitted, you should receive an email from Discord confirming that the verification process has begun. Verification is done manually, on a case-by-case basis, and applying multiple times in quick succession will not increase your chances of being verified.
