The premiere date for Season 3 of Bridgerton is a worst-case scenario

The premiere date for Season 3 of Bridgerton is a worst-case scenario ...

We all know that Season 3 of Bridgerton will be available sometime this year... right? That's for sure... right?

Okay, we'll stop being paranoid and say that it's hard to comprehend why the Netflix drama is causing us to wait longer than this calendar year to see new episodes returned on the service. Nevertheless, we do believe that they might take this vacation for some time if they wanted to... and they may have reasons to do so.

Take, for example, the fact that a Queen Charlotte prequel series is on the way, and they probably don't feel that much of a need to premiere these two programs altogether close to one another. They're going to make us wait a long time, and the answer we have is simple: How long does it take?

The worst-case scenario is that season 3 will be released during the holiday season, in a similar fashion to what we saw with season 1. Given that filming for the most recent batch of episodes started this past summer, we expect episodes to be ready to stream by the end of summer or early fall.

Keeping season 3 on for most of the year might cut the length of time between these episodes and the already-renewed season 4, which may turn out to be one of Netflix's biggest years yet thanks to Squid Game, Stranger Things, Cobra Kai, and others.
