Infinity Ward is making some significant looting changes to Warzone 2 that will alter the landscape in Al Mazrah.
These changes will drastically alter the way players loot and alter the overall flow of a match.
Because of all the criticism from the community about ground loot, Warzone 2 is likely to undergo these changes.
Thankfully, Warzone Season 2 will address these issues and make the looting process more intuitive and user-friendly.
Changes to Ground Loot in Warzone 2 Season 2
Here is a list of all looting changes that will be introduced in Season 2:
- Medium and Large Backpacks will be removed. Players have limited inventory space.
- All players will have the same backpack.
- Loot dropped by eliminated players appears floating in front of the player. They no longer drop backpacks.
- Floating loot that will now drop onto the ground out of all containers.
- Warzone 2 will no longer have armor vests pick-ups. Players now start the match with three armor plate spots.
- Cash piles found from ground loot have a minimum value of $800 (previously $100).
- All players will have the same backpack.
- All players will have the same backpack.
This means that when a player is eliminated and drops loot, it will show up floating on the floor. This eliminates the need to look through backpacks and simplifies the inventory process.
Due to the amount of self-revive kits one player could carry, medium/large backpacks are no longer available.
Warzone 2 will make just a few changes in Season 2, according to Infinity Ward. The 1v1 Gulag Format will also be reinstated.
To avert player dissatisfaction, Infinity Ward has changed the Warzone 2 economy. To help players improve their quality of life, Infinity Ward has also reduced the price of Loadout Drop Markers.
All of these will be available during Warzone 2 Season 2, and players will have the chance to see them in action in the upcoming Call of Duty Blog.
