In the Warzone 2 Season 2 update, Infinity Ward is making new changes to the movement speed while plating.
One of the biggest complaints players have had in Warzone 2 is the inability to sprint while plating. They believe that the slow movement speed while plating contributes to less competitive gun fights.
This is because even if you have plates, it can be a death sentence to try and put them on while in combat. While Infinity Ward isn't adding the ability to sprint while plating, they are making some changes to address these issues.
While Plating, Warzone 2 boosts movement speed.
Infinity Ward has revealed that while plating, they are increasing the player's movement speed.
The Season 2 update will include a "slight increase in movement speed while plating," giving players a wider window of opportunity to access cover while reinforcing themselves.
While plating, players will be able to smash through doors. However, this doesn't necessarily mean players may sprint while plating. Infinity Ward stated that this was a "significant improvement" in a player's movement speed.
We have yet to see this speed rise, but it may be closer to sprinting speed than they are leading on.
In Warzone 2, players could plate while sprinting. This allowed players to strengthen themselves while obtaining better counter-attack positioning.
Infinity Ward appears to be taking steps to address these issues. Not only is movement speed increased, but Warzone 2 will remove armor vests in Season 2.
All players will receive three armor plates at the start of the match, which will remain until the match.
Thanks to some changes to the Warzone 2 economy, players have been able to return to the game after returning from the Gulag.
It appears that Warzone 2 Season 2 will be a major turning point for Al Mazrah and could define the franchise's next few months.
It'll be exciting to see what they've got in store, as well as more information about their Warzone 2 Resurgence map.
