Brandon Sklenar of I>1923/I> teases Spencer's somber homecoming: 'It Doesn't Get Easier for Anyone,' ...

May we please provide a few Episode-5-and-beyond spoilers from star Brandon Sklenar as the season resumes in 1923?

We first covered Spencer's harrowing bombshell from Episode 4 when Alexandra persuaded her taciturn fiancé to open the pack of letters from home he'd been carrying around since the conflict. The couple learned that Spencer's brother, John, had been murdered by angry sheep farmers, and that his uncle Jacob was a likely culprit. (Check out the whole recap here.)

Sklenar says in the video above that once something has gone that long, almost you don't want to know, because it's too painful to know. "I do believe there is something in his head where he's kind of anticipating that one of these letters will be 'Someone's dead. Something happened.'

"I can say that he immediately takes action toward returning home," the Dutton nephew adds, adding: "In typical Taylor Sheridan fashion, it doesn't get easier for anybody."

Spencer/Alexandra's sparkfest was discussed (skelenar explains his character's deep love for and fiery attraction to Julia Schlaepfer's Alex) and why Banner Creighton and his crew might want to skedaddle before Spencer returns to Montana (“You do not want to kill the brother of the guy who hunts things for a living”).

We haven't even talked about the elephants yet! (Yep, he's got a story about elephants, as well as an uncooperative horse with an unfortunate name). Before 1923 resumes its season on Sunday, February 5, click PLAY on the above video to get Sklenar's take on everything Dutton.
