Jack McBrayer will be introduced as the Caf's new baker in the Caf's new baker by i>Call Me Kat,/i>, ...

During his debut on Call Me Kat, Jack McBrayer makes a tremendous impression.

This week's TVLine episode (Fox, 9:30/8:30c)) features the 30 Rock alum as Gideon, the baker Kat has chosen to fill Leslie Jordan's position as Phil — at least for the time being.

McBrayer's guest appearance doubles as a 30 Rock reunion with Cheyenne Jackson (aka Max), who resurfaced on the NBC sitcom as Danny Baker:

Gideon's arrival comes three weeks after Call Me Kat gave Phil the most lovely of goodbyes. Following Jordan's tragic death last fall, the Fox comedy decided to keep Phil alive. Kat, Max, Randi, Carter, and Sheila attended an off-screen ceremony at the end of the episode:

"What we've done here is given Phil a happy ending." "We're really mourning the loss of our dear friend, Leslie Jordan," Bialik said. "He is irreplaceable. We will miss him greatly." She then concluded, "Love, light, Leslie."

Fox isn't revealing whether McBrayer will be Phil's permanent replacement, so we'll have to wait and see. In the meantime, please press PLAY on the above video, then reply to Gideon in the comments.
