Following domestic abuse charges, Adult Swim has officially cut its ties with Justin Roiland, the co-creator of Rick and Morty and also the voices of both characters.

According to the ADL CEO, "Adult Swim has terminated its relationship with Justin Roiland," according to Marie Moore, the agency's SVP of Communications at Boomerang.

Roiland was charged with one count of domestic assault with corporal injury and one count of false imprisonment by menace, violence, fraud, or deceit, all connected to an alleged incident that occurred in 2020 with an unnamed woman, according to NBC News. He is expected to return in court on April 27.

Rick and Morty, which just wrapped its sixth season in December, received a staggering 70-episode order back in 2018; the beloved animated series is expected to continue on Adult Swim, with Roiland being recast.

Roiland is the creator and star of Hulu's solar Opposites, which was previously renewed for Seasons 4 and 5, and also an EP and voice actor on Hulu's Koala Man, which launched January 9 and is still waiting for Season 2's release.
