Apex Legends Mobile players criticize EA for refusing refunds

Apex Legends Mobile players criticize EA for refusing refunds ...

The community was enraged when it was announced that Apex Legends Mobile would be discontinued. EA will not refund in-game purchases.

Apex Legends Mobile reimagined the appeal of Respawn Entertainment's battle royale game on handheld devices, and this version included exclusive characters and a solos playlist.

Apex Legends Mobile is being phased out. They also revealed further details about the decision.

Despite the game's cancellation, Apex Legends Mobile players will not be entitled to refunds for any in-game purchases they made.

The fact that players will not receive refunds has not sat well with the community, and many users expressed their displeasure at the developers for this decision in the Apex Legends subreddit.

One Reddit user wrote in a thread about this decision: "Them not offering refunds on their failed product demonstrates their greed and lack of respect for us the players." Another player wrote: "I feel for anyone who paid money for [Apex Legends Mobile]."

Epic Games is allowing anyone who played Rumbleverse to get full refunds as the game is being shut down, demonstrating a contrast. In a thread, there was the sentiment that "closing within a year should be a partial refund by law."

One user said, "I don't care if the game is shutting down or anything, but they should at least do something for the people who actually paid for [Apex Legends] Mobile."

At the time of writing, it remains to be seen whether EA and Respawn Entertainment will address these complaints. We'll keep you updated as soon as more information becomes available.
