The fact that players will not receive refunds has not sat well with the community, and many users expressed their displeasure at the developers for this decision in the Apex Legends subreddit.
One Reddit user wrote in a thread about this decision: "Them not offering refunds on their failed product demonstrates their greed and lack of respect for us the players." Another player wrote: "I feel for anyone who paid money for [Apex Legends Mobile]."
Epic Games is allowing anyone who played Rumbleverse to get full refunds as the game is being shut down, demonstrating a contrast. In a thread, there was the sentiment that "closing within a year should be a partial refund by law."
One user said, "I don't care if the game is shutting down or anything, but they should at least do something for the people who actually paid for [Apex Legends] Mobile."
