The Last of Us PC release date has been postponed by a few weeks, according to Naughty Dog. As the new HBO adaptation of the zombie game proves to be a smash hit with new and old fans alike, Naughty Dog wants to take some extra time to ensure that The Last of Us' PC debut is up to standard.
"We want to ensure that The Last of Us Part I PC debut is in the best shape possible," says Naughty Dog. "These additional few weeks will enable us to ensure that this version of The Last of Us lives up to your and our expectations."
The new announcement emphasizes the surge in interest for The Last of Us triggered by the HBO series' debut — and, in fact, sales of The Last of Us Part 1 have increased since the pilot episode was released.
Naughty Dog describes how the outpouring of love and support for The Last of Us has completely shocked us in the last few weeks. "Seeing your beautiful Photo Mode images, and learning how the world and characters we created almost a decade ago continue to reach new and old fans," she adds.
