Season 3 of Overwatch: What Happened?

Overwatch 2 Season 3 will launch on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, according to Blizzard.

Fans had fairly figured out that this would be the start date for Season 3 of Overwatch 2. Then, Blizzard showed off the new map in a mini teaser video along with the official season start period.

Will there be a new Overwatch character in Season 3?

Any time new characters arrive, they are always a major event, but Overwatch 2 Season 3 will not have a new character, according to the developers.

Players have become used to new Heroes appearing every season, but the developers have confirmed that after Season 2, new maps and Heroes will be added.

Players will have to wait until Season 4 to see the next big name in Overwatch 2. Since Ramattra was the last major content release, they will have to wait until Season 4.

Jon Spector, the Overwatch 2 commercial lead, confirmed that the next Hero will be a Support character when Season 4 comes to an end.

"Hero development takes a long time. You have to come up with ideas and conceive from the beginning of development till the end. You should be able to enter the worldview." Ramatra is a Tank hero in Season 2, and we anticipate that the next hero will be a more solid support hero.

New Antarctic Peninsula Map for Overwatch 2 Season 3

Blizzard dropped an early hint ahead of the game's roadmap reveal by revealing the new Antarctic Peninsula that will be revealed in Overwatch 2 Season 3.

The official teaser video might give a chill to players, but this is mostly because the map is overflowing with snow, ice, and terrible weather to engulf players as they battle in this new environment.

For the time being, the map is described as a "new Control map," but it might always be subject to modifications as time goes on.

Season 3 of Overwatch: Changes in Order of Place

After complaints from players since the game's launch, Blizzard will make several changes to Overwatch 2's Ranked setup.

This includes several minor modifications, including the speed at which a player's rank will refresh – it will now be reduced by several wins and losses – overall matchmaking and new interface improvements to make tracking progress easier.

Buffs & Nerfs in Overwatch 2 Season 3

Overwatch 2 Season 3 will include some new features, according to the developers, including Sojourn and Mercy.

Players are becoming more dissatisfied with the duo's tag-team abilities, and those complaints appear to have fallen on deaf ears.

"Totally fair." said a community manager for the game. I know it's frustrating right now, especially when you see it so frequently in your games. We'll have more to share soon, but changes are coming.

There's every chance that more Heroes will be placed under the microscope with a full seasonal update in the works, so we'll have to see who else will be affected.

Credits Return for Overwatch 2 Season 3

Credits will be making a return to Overwatch 2 and giving players a different currency to unlocking additional items.

"All players may earn up to 1500 credits as free bonuses or another 500 credits as premium rewards over the duration of Season 3 Battle Pass, according to the developers. We are also adding more uses for your Credits so you may choose from a wide array of possibilities."
