In Phase 4, the Marvel Cinematic Universe brought different gods to the forefront, and the studio is highlighting them ahead of Phase 5.

The Infinity Saga only touched the tip of the iceberg when it introduced powerful gods such as Thor, Loki, and Odin. It also revealed how a corrupted god might become dangerous following Hela's arrival.

Phase 4 took the game to the next level by extending the power hierarchy, and Marvel UK's official Instagram account recently shared a "Oh my gods." video highlighting ten of Marvel Studios' on-screen gods:

In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there are ten powerful gods.

Moon Knight Episode 4 blew everyone away with the introduction of a talking hippopotamus. This character was eventually revealed to be Taweret, the goddess of childbirth and fertility who protects mothers and children.

Taweret will not be allowed to return in a future MCU project, considering that Moon Knight Season 2 has yet to be officially announced. However, given May Calamawy's Layla as Taweret's avatar, there's a good possibility for a return.

Thor: Love and Thunder, directed by Chris Hemsworth, was made a stunning comeback alongside Natalie Portman's Mighty Thor. The end teased a bright future for the God of Thunder since he now has a adopted daughter, Love.

Thor's every appearance has demonstrated that he is capable of defeating dozens of enemies, but his next appearance in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty might be his greatest challenge as he battles Kang the Conqueror.

In Moon Knight, Khonshu played a major role in introducing a brand-new villain into the MCU, but the Disney+ show's conclusion proved that his job isn't done, and he may be in the danger of his future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Namor is seen as a god-like figure by his people and the Wakandans in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, with them referring to him as K'uk'ulkan.

The MCU sequel demonstrated what Namor is capable of, and it's safe to say that the Talokan leader will return for more.

Bast is a goddess from the Wakandan Mythos of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She is the goddess that inspired a warrior shaman to the heart-shaped herb that allows the user to enter the Ancestral Plane.

While Odin died during Thor: Ragnarok, there is no denying that his power level was virtually unmatched during his prime (as seen during 2011's Thor.)

Odin is portrayed as a wise king despite his sheer power, a trait he successfully passed on to his son Thor.

Thor: Love and Thunder introduced Russell Crowe's Zeus, the creator of Omnipotence City and the Greek god of lighting. He also revealed that he has a thunder bolt that can harness his powers.

The post-credits scene for Thor 4 demonstrates that Zeus isn't easy to kill, with it confirming that he's still alive after Thor pierced his chest with his own thunder bolt.

Ammit is an Egyptian goddess with a crocodile head who is feared for judging humans based on their past, present, and future to decide whether a person is worthy to live. Ammit fought Khonshu in Season 1's finale, but she was defeated and trapped inside Arthur Harrow's body.

Given that Jake Lockley reportedly killed Harrow in the post-credits scene on the show, it remains to be seen if Ammit will make another incredible comeback.

Hela is the Goddess of Death, and she proved that fact when she demolished Asgard's battalion of soldiers and the Warriors Three.

The combined efforts of the Revengers (Thor, Loki, Valkyrie, and Hulk) were still not enough to defeat Hela in Ragnarok, and it only took the advent of Surtur to win the battle.

Loki, played by Tom Hiddleston, has already died several times in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but he keeps coming back stronger than ever. The God of Mischief has his own Disney+ series, and it is widely expected that he will play a key role in future conflicts with Kang the Conqueror, the Time Variance Authority's leader.

As the MCU expands, these powerful gods will become a consistent force in demonstrating the franchise's hierarchy of power. It's also safe to assume that there will be more gods introduced in the future to level the playing field, and that the Earth's Mightiest Heroes will be better equipped to deal with them when the time comes.
