In Teamfight Tactics Monsters' Attack!, Riot Games is changing the way Hero Augment Armories work, providing players with custom reroll options that might sabotage the Set Eight meta if left unchecked.
Patch 13.3 will make significant changes to how Tacticains play TFT Set Eight. Stage 2-1 options will remain mostly random, as players may easily transition toward a Hero Augment build that early in the game. And for Hero Augments that drop at Stages 3-2 or 4-2, the options presented to players are personalized, giving Tacticians exactly what they want as a Hero Augment in the late-game stages.
The introduction of Hero Augments to the system may open the way for balance issues, which is why game designer Stephen "Mortdog" Mortimer and the TFT balance team are focusing heavily on Hero Augment balance for Patch 13.3.
Mortdog said the company will put a lot of effort into Augment balance going forward. “And we’ll be responsible to ensure that there are a lot of viable options.”
Mortdog claims that Patch 13.3 will not contain a lot of champion changes, but players may be irritated by all of the Augment balance changes. Players may try out the new Hero Augment reroll changes on PBE servers leading up to the official release of TFT Set Eight Patch 13.3 on February 8.
