Pokémon Scarlet and Violet were released more than two months ago, and many players have completed the game's narrative and post-end content.
A player started a discussion on Reddit about what they liked about Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
In this discussion, players made unanimous choices, mostly concerned with Pokémon combat, capture, and growth abilities.
The most-upvoted comment said, "Evolving without level up." Automatic evolution is a staple in the Pokémon license, and Arceus was one of the first titles to remove it.
Instead of being forced to cancel the evolution at each level up by hitting the B button or buying equipping candies, players could choose whenever they wanted their Pokémon to evolve. Scarlet and Violet's releases however, restored the ability to evolve automatically.

Many others mentioned the ability to capture Pokémon without having to enter combat. This allowed players to save a lot of time while offering a fun way to capture Pokémon.
Players discussed a number of other quality-of-life improvements that made their life easier in Arceus, such as being able to flee from combat without using a turn.
Others agreed that Arceus' VFX animations were superior, such as the Evolution one.
A user wrote that the darker background, glowing eyes, and ominous silhouette made it a badass. This is more controversial since it is more dependent on personal preference.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus was a groundbreaking game in Pokémon as it reimagined the traditional playstyle of the license. However, Scarlet and Violet are not on the same line in the latest Pokémon Legends titles. They include a variety of new features that are appreciated by many players in Arceus, while keeping most old ones.
