Hugh Laurie has secured a second full-time TV gig for HBO's Avenue 5.

The TV veteran will play Eric Peterson, a South African nuclear inspector in Apple TV+'s espionage thriller Tehran for its just-ordered third season, according to the streamer on Wednesday.

Laurie will play alongside returning cast members Niv Sultan, Shaun Toub, and Shila Ommi, as well as fellow Tehran newbies Sasson Gabai, Bahar Pars, and Phoenix Raei.

A representative for HBO claims that no decision has been made about a possible Season 3 of Laurie's space comedy Avenue 5, which ended its second season last fall.

Sultan's Tamar — who went rogue at the end of Season 2 and was still reeling from the deaths of her closest friends — must come up again and win back the Mossad's support in Tehran Season 3.

Morgan Wandell, Apple TV+'s global programming director, said in a statement that the program has captivated viewers around the world. "We are so excited to have Hugh Laurie join Niv and the amazingly talented cast in a new plot that has all the ingredients for an unforgettable season."
