With Netflix's just-announced conspiracy thriller The Madness, Colman Domingo has officially lined up his next project.
Muncie Daniels (Domingo) will "fight for his innocence and his life after he stumbles upon a murder deep in the Poconos woods," according to the streamer's official description. "Muncie strives to reconnect with his estranged family and his lost ideals in order to survive."
The first two and last two episodes will be directed and executive produced by Clément Virgo (Greenleaf).
"The Madness is a fresh take on the conspiracy thriller genre, with its multi-layered characters, powerful action, and quick pace," said Netflix's Vice President of Scripted Series, Peter Friedlander in a statement. "We are proud to have such a talented team to bring this dynamic tale to life for Netflix viewers around the world."
Domingo won an Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series for his role as Ali in HBO's Euphoria. Other awards include Fear the Walking Dead, The Knick, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, and The Twilight Zone, among others. He is also a Tony Award nominee for the Broadway musical The Scottsboro Boys, as well as a Laurence Olivier Award nominee.
With VJ Boyd, Belber serves as the co-showrunner and executive producer of The Madness. Additional EPs include Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping, and Kaitlin Dahill.
