Al Mazrah map change in Warzone 2 brings the legendary MW2 location back to life

Al Mazrah map change in Warzone 2 brings the legendary MW2 location back to life ...

The Al Mazrah map in Warzone 2 includes many old maps from the Modern Warfare series, and a season 2 update will bring a classic MW2 map to life.

Classic Call of Duty locations are perfect on an enormous battle royale map, and Infinity Ward went all out in bringing iconic maps to Al Mazrah. High Rise, Terminal, Showdown, and even the original CoD's Neuville are all there.

While being added to Al Mazrah, these maps have been modified, but it appears the classic Afghan map will have its most famous feature with the Season 2 update on February 15.

The Afghan map from Modern Warfare 2 is available at the Sattiq Cave Complex, but you'd be forgiven for overlooking it. The area's most significant feature isn't the bunker, cave system, and cliff.

DMZ Season 2 updates include a progress wipe and a new Ashika Island map, but also a map change that will be revealed in the Season 2 update.

“There are also other things to be concerned about in Al Mazrah,” said the developers, “including the explosion of an unknown aircraft at the Sattiq Cave Complex.” This is a direct reference to the Afghan area, where it appears to finally have its famous jet.

Whether or not that is the only Al Mazrah map change we'll see in Season 2 remains to be seen, but if not, you'll have to explore the whole new Ashika Island Resurgence map, which may have some more classic maps to discover when it arrives on February 15.
