Sons of the Forest is defintiely an experience you will not want to do alone, so how can you play with friends, and is the game even multiplayer? Luckily, we have the answers.
Sons of the Forest is the most anticipated sequel to Endnight Game's 2014 release The Forest, which became a popular survival horror game.
Sons of the Forest is hoping to maintain its popularity, with yet another horrifying experience that requires players to not only uncover its mysterious background, but also survive on a remote island by crafting and fending off cannibals.
Players in The Forest were permitted to share the journey with their friends through multiplayer, so many are wondering if Sons of the Forest will do the same.
In Sons of the Forest, here's all you need to know about multiplayer.
Is there a multiplayer mode in Sons of the Forest?
Sons of the Forest is officially available as a multiplayer game, as players may team up with up to eight friends in order to survive, build, and explore the remote island. Players may also hurt and kill one another, so make sure you have your co-op partners on your side.
As part of this, Sons of the Forest has AI companions that can assist you throughout your journey, helping you make the solo experience less lonely. If you prefer not to have an AI companion to make the playthrough easier, you can simply kill them to break up the bonds.
In Sons of the Forest, how do you play with friends?
Sons of the Forest will likely work similarly to the previous title, although there is still no official information on how to play with your friends.
If so, players must select Multiplayer from the main menu of the game and select "Peer to Peer," which allows you to play with up to 8 friends. You may host or join a game. If you wish to play with more players, you can run a dedicated server on Steam.
Sons of the Forest will be released exclusively on PC, so you'll need to meet the recommended or minimum requirements to play with friends.
