Respawn Entertainment has revealed their intentions for Apex Legends Season 16, as the developers claim that the update will not introduce a new Legend.
Apex Legends Season 16 will be released on February 14, Valentine's Day, which the Date Night LTM should get players excited about. The new season will bring new content to the game, as well as a significant overhaul of several aspects of the battle royale.
The most enjoyable piece of content players get each season is the new Legend, however, Apex Legends Season 16 will be different. Respawn have officially confirmed that the update will not introduce a new character to the roster.

Apex Legends Season 16 will not have a new Legend, and the developers explained why during a press event for the new update.
Apex Legends Season 16 will not have a new Legend because the developers feel the game has evolved a lot since its release, including "15 new Legends, four new maps, hundreds of events, and weapons." They also feel the player base has greatly expanded, and the game has changed a lot.
Instead of introducing a new Legend, they believe the Season 16 update should focus on "core gameplay experience" to better match where players are today.
The Legend Class system will be rebuilt in Season 16, with a number of balance tweaks, thus, as the developers have announced.
Season 16 of Apex Legends Legend Class Redesign and Balance Changes
Apex Legends Season 16 will be rewritten by the developers, bringing new Class Perks to the game.
Season 16 of Apex Legends will introduce five new classes:
- Assault – Mad Maggie, Ash, Bangalore, Revenant, & Fuse
- Skirmisher – Valkyrie, Wraith, Mirage, Horizon, Octane, & Pathfinder
- Recon – Crypto, Seer, Vantage, & Bloodhound
- Controller – Catalyst, Rampart, Caustic, & Wattson
- Support – Lifeline, Newcastle, Gibraltar, & Loba
Respawn believes that these new five classes make each Legend's roles and gameplay more clear, with Perks to complement them.
Season 16 of Apex Legends will include balance changes to a number of Legends, including Wraith, Lifeline, and Seer.
