The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 update roadmap has been released by Infinity Ward, which includes a list of seven game modes, including Infected, Hardcore, and Gun Game. Only a few of these modes will be available at launch, though, with others coming later on in the season.
With Modern Warfare 2 Season 2, Infected, Gun Game, Grind, and Hardcore will launch.
Season 2 of Infected, Gun Game, Grind, and Hardcore will be available on February 15th, while the latter three will be party modes, while Hardcore mode will replace the current Tier 1 playlist. At the start of Season 2, the Hardcore playlist will include a mix of traditional modes and rules combined with a limited HUD and decreased health that cannot be replaced with Stim Shots.
Drop Zone, All or Nothing, and One In The Chamber will also be included to the mix later in the season. The stand-alone mode works along with CDL-approved rules, restrictions, maps, and modes as players work their way through seven Skill Divisions that offer skins and other rewards, so perhaps it's time to take a look at the recommended DualSense control layout if you're considering implementing the mode.
According to the roadmap, there are four new multiplayer maps, a new Raid episode, a limited-time event called Walk the Path of the Ronin, five new weapons, a new vehicle, and a new Operator.
