More PlayStation customers have confirmed that they bought a PS5 because to the availability of Call of Duty rather than any of Sony's console exclusives, according to a new report from the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) on Microsoft's proposed acquisition of Activision and how this might impact Sony in the future.
When it came to purchasing a PS5, Call of Duty was the most popular choice.
A staggering 89% of PS5 users said they chose it because to the availability of one or more games. 73% chose the PS5 because of Call of Duty, while a smaller 69% purchased a PS5 console for exclusive games like God of War (41%), The Last of Us (39%), Marvel's Spider-Man (37%), and Ghost of Tsushima (22.5%), but Call of Duty was the most popular franchise.
Because of the ongoing arguments, the CMA did claim that their survey would overstate the importance of Call of Duty when purchasing a console.
