The latest Nintendo Direct is now available for everyone to see, and the Ninty presentation is packed with big surprises, upgrades, and DLC to games we know and love. Highlights from the Nintendo Direct February 2023 include the surprise announcement (and release) of Metroid Prime Remastered, another look at The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and the Pikmin 4 release date.

With fresh looks at the additional content for Fire Emblem Engage, Splatoon 3, and Mario Kart 8: Deluxe, Splatoon 3 lovers can chill in the Inkopolis from the original Splatoon, and now have some information on the upcoming story DLC to dissect for lore until its official release.

As many classic games are returning on our favourite hybrid system, We Love Katamari makes a stunning comeback, and the first three Etrian Odyssey titles are on the way, and cult GameCube classic Baten Kaitos I and II are also set to release for the Switch!

The Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack does not support titles from the Game Boy Advance library, except: Super Mario Advance 4, Super Mario Bros 3, Warioware Inc: Minigame Mania, Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, and The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap.

Compatible games will be available locally and online for up to four players, and many more titles will be added in the future. This Direct gives a 10/10.

Metroid Prime, the Gamecube classic, is back, and now in HD, as Metroid Prime Remastered arrives on Nintendo Switch. There are new dual stick controls, or you can recreate the feel of the original game with advanced control options. A physical version will launch in March.

Rain Code is set to be released on June 30. So, as soon as summer comes around, we'll see what the folks at Spike Chunsoft have managed to get to grips with it. From Danganronpa, please keep your eyes open.

Fans of Mario Kart can now see the next batch of track previews in what might be the least surprising news of the Direct. One of the most noteworthy news is that Wave 4 will add a new character, Birdo from Super Mario Bros 2.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has received a new teaser, which allows players to see the sequel and the danger that Ganon poses. The land of Hyrule is under attack from above as hellfire falls and new threats emerge.

This time around, Link has more weapons in his arsenal, including a Hyrulian firing homing arrows and launching a long rifle towards a Stone Talus. Although it will take us a few more hundred times to fully understand everything, this new peak will suffice to keep us going till May.

Nintendo has announced a collector's edition of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, as well as an artbook and other amazing little extras. Amiibo lovers are in luck (it's me, I'm in luck) as a new Link amiibo inspired by his appearance in Tears of the Kindom will be released alongside the title on May 12.
