Prepare to scream in 3D.
Jenna Ortega and Melissa Barrera escape Ghostface, only to later discover, along with Courteney Cox, that Ghostface has a hidden super-villain hideout complete with dozens of costumes and masks.
Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett of Radio Silence, the sixth franchise installment sees Mindy (Jasmin Savoy Brown), Tara (Ortega) attend college, with Dermot Mulroney, Samara Weaving, and Tony Revolori making their franchise debuts.
"Scream VI" will be the first film in the franchise to be released in 3D in cinemas. A special "Scream VI" fan event, presented by Paramount Pictures and Spyglass Media, will begin Thursday, March 9 to commemorate the release of the film, which will be released exclusively on March 10.
"We couldn't be more excited to bring 'Scream' fans this latest terrifying chapter like never before in a visceral 3D format," said Paramount Pictures President Chris Aronson of domestic distribution. "In this iteration, the 'Scream' universe moves beyond Woodsboro and into New York City, and the Big Apple called for even more scares, surprises, and frightening turns. We can't wait for fans to see what Ghostface has in store this time."
At the 3D Fan Event Screening on March 9 at 5:00 p.m. local time, fans will be the first to see the film in 3D. The event commemorates the theatrical release of the film's opening exclusively in theaters, including one special show in 3D prior to the film's widespread release in participating theaters across the country, including Dolby Cinema, 4DX, and other premium large format theaters.
Special content selected for this screening of "Scream VI" will be presented to ticketholders, as well as a limited-edition collector's print by UK artist Doaly, to be given away at their local theater on the day of the event while supplies last.
The film "Scream VI" will be released in theaters on March 10th.
