Owen Wilson Transforms Into Bob Ross, but Not Quite? for Paint: Watch the Trailer ...

Bob Ross has now got his very own Aline Dieu. The teaser for IFC's upcoming comedy film "Paint" has been released, featuring Owen Wilson as "Carl Nagyl," a fictional character that more than mildly resembles Ross' beloved television personality.

Nagyl is a popular public television personality who hosted PBS' instructional art program "The Joy of Painting" from 1983 to 1994, and has a knack for soothing narration. The film itself narrates Nagyl as a womanizing, fame-obsessed guy behind his gentle onscreen appearance.

Nagyl, who is initially regarded as one of the greatest performers at his public Vermont TV studio, is getting a rough patch in viewership, triggering the studio to recruit a new young artist, Ambrosia (Ciara Renée). As Ambrosia's show begins to overshadow Nagyl's, the TV vet confronts a personal dilemma about his painting abilities.

Michaela Watkins, Luisa Strus, and Lucy Freyer star in "Paint," his narrative feature debut. His previous films include "Triviatown," "Katt Williams: American Hustle," and episodes of "Tosh.O." With Joel David Moore, Amy Jarvela, and Richard J. Bosner, Peter Brant and Sam Maydew are executive producers.

Wilson will next appear in the Disney film "Haunted Mansion," which is based on the Disney Parks attraction. The film, which will be released in August, will star Rosario Dawson, LaKeith Stanfield, Winona Ryder, Dan Levy, Jared Leto, and Jamie Lee Curtis.

The film "Paint" will be released in cinemas on April 7th.
