After more than a year of data mines and speculation, Game Boy and Game Boy Advance games are finally coming to Nintendo Switch Online as part of the subscription service today, starting with the first batch.
The platforms will be broken into two separate sections, with GBA titles exclusively coming as part of the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack bundle. Players who subscribe to the base NSO service will receive classic Game Boy games alongside the pre-existing library of NES and SNES titles at no additional cost.
After the first reveal, the NSO lineup of previous Nintendo titles will start at a handful of titles and grow over time. For Game Boy and GBA, there were several well-known titles teased, including The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages, as well as Fire Emblem and Metroid Fusion.

For original GB games, players may toggle between the Game Boy, Game Boy Pocket, and Game Boy Color filters. Compatible games will also offer online play for players who subscribe to NSO.
