Riot Games has announced that the creator of VALORANT has suspended four Game Changers players for a variety of offenses.

Former EQ Cerise player Alex "Dsylexic" Luong was banned from competing in Riot-sanctioned events in two separate statements. Dsylexic's gender eligibility violated the entry requirements, too. As a result, Dsylexic has been banned from participating in Riot-sanctioned events for eight years.

Jennifer "nabiichu" Choe, a former teammate who played with Dsylexic during the match, has been banned for five years for misleading officials about Dsylexic's gender eligibility, and was found guilty by association.

In a statement, Dsylexic, who identified as he/him, reached out to nabiichu, then a member of EQ Cerise, who offered to mislead officials by changing his gender identity to one of a nonbinary player in order to participate in CLG Red. "Nabiichu agreed and assisted Dsylexic by demonstrating his gender identity as nonbinary to EQ Cerise and to Tournament Officials."

Two other players have been suspended.

Caroline "carosmacks" Peterson and Megan "LemonOreo" Lai have been banned from competing in Riot-sanctioned events for one year after the pair posted a discriminatory meme on a Discord channel that contained around 70 people.

Riot said the discriminatory meme, which was distributed in October last year, was of a racist nature, and the investigation was led by an anonymous observer.

Riot said the company does not condone any discriminatory acts or behaviors, including those that involve race, sex, age, or any other personal characteristic. "During the course of [the] investigation, the investigating team found no aggravating or mitigating factors."
