The first two waves of paid DLC for Splatoon 3 were announced at the Nintendo Direct on February 8th, bringing new single-player content and the return of a fan-favorite locale to the series. The content will be released in two halves, giving players new opportunities to explore the world of Splatoon.

The Splatoon 3 Expansion Pass includes all of the new content below.

Inkopolis Square, Wave One

In Wave One of the Splatoon 3 expansion pack, players will be able to visit Inkopolis and Booyah Base, the main world and shopping center of Splatoon. Inkopolis also has a few additional attractions, such as Salmon Run, Table Turf Battle, The Shoal, and Amiibo Booths, which allow players to choose between both hub worlds without missing any essential features.

The Squid Sisters will continue to host Inkopolis News, where they present current battle maps as well as the nighttime setting.

Wave Two: Side Order

Side Order, the Wave 2 DLC, is a single-player campaign experience that shares many similarities with the Octo expansion in Splatoon 2.

The playable character in Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion is an Octoling that has returned as an Octoling. Pearl and Marina from Splatoon 2's Off the Hook are also included in the teaser, marking their return after initial teases in the Aug. 2022 Splatoon 3 Direct.

The Splatoon 3: Expansion Pass is now available for digital purchase, with Wave One arriving in Spring 2023.

Players who purchase the DLC will also receive additional in-game bonuses, such as currency, food, and drink tickets, to enhance their gear.
