Genshin Impact's main strengths are its striking graphics, from spectacular scenes in Teyvat's overworld to character burst animations.
Many players like to spend their time exploring the world and immortalizing their memories by taking photographs with the camera in the game.
When it comes to photographing, players have very few options. That's a common complaint in the community, and some sought to find a solution themselves.
Users of Genshin discovered a bug they could exploit to enthuse breathtaking shots of the characters' faces a few months ago.
They may take as many photos as they want from every angle using their character's Elemental Burst.
HoYoverse eventually fixed the issue with Patch 3.4, however, which restricted the ability to take such spectacular photos.
Players urged HoYoverse to reinstate this bug or, even better, make it a permanent feature on a Reddit thread earlier today. They want to be able to freeze characters at key moments to allow them to personalize their pictures more.
"Genshin burst animations are beautiful, for real," said a user. "They could start by freezing the game time in their photo mode," wrote another. "It's a pain if you have to quit photo mode after a minute and turn the clock again."
Many exploration games include the possibility to freeze time when taking pictures, so that players may modify them without seeing the weather or daytime changes. It's unclear if HoYoverse intends to include this feature in the future.
