Riot teases LoLs' upcoming fiery enchanter Milio

Riot teases LoLs' upcoming fiery enchanter Milio ...

On the game's PBE servers, the first new champion for League of Legends in 2023 has just been teased.

Milio is a male enchanter support from Ixtal, who is expected to be the first new champion in League this year. PBE servers were also updated today, as well, and a Milio teaser was added to the bottom lane alcove.

Players who will go to the bottom lane will be able to spot Milio, or at least one of his "firebuddies," as it was named by a League YouTube content creator called SkinSpotlights from now on.

The little orange blob, or firebuddy, does nothing more than sit in an alcove. Although he is a support champion, it's unsurprising that he would be teased somewhere on the Summoner's Rift.

Riot Ryan "Reav3" Mireles, one of the game's lead gameplay designers, teased Milio in August 2022. He showed three tiny orange creatures that might be Milio's firebuddies and are likely to be a crucial component of his kit.

At the start of the year, Lexi "Riot Lexical" Gao revealed that he will use his fire magic to heal wounds rather than to inflict damage on opponents.

Milio is expected to be the first new champion to join the League in 2023, although the exact release date remains unknown. Once he has made it to the roster, the developers will concentrate on shipping another teased champion, a Darkin assassin.
